This indenture made the 14th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen between Absalom Gleaves of Davidson County and State of Tennessee of the one part and Jacob Woodram of the county of Wilson and state afore said of the other part witnessed that the said Jacob Woodram for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said Absalom Gleaves the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened conveyed and confirmed unto the said Absalom Gleaves his heirs, and assigns confirmed a certain tract of parcel of land, situated lying and being in the county of Wilson and state aforesaid of waters of stones creek and on the south boundary of Hugh Logan’s Preemption – Beginning at Logan’s, Carver a white oak being his south west corner, thence west twenty one poles to a stake on Suggs line thence along the same east, two hundred and five poles to a white oak and dogwood thence north one hundred poles to a dogwood and Logan’s line, thence along the same west to the beginning containing by estimation one hundred and twenty eight acres by the same more or less.  To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights, profits & encumbrance here ditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging, or any way wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of the said Absalom Gleaves, his heirs and  assigns forever and the said Jacob Woodrum for himself & heirs, executors & administrators, do, covenant & agree to & with said Absalom Gleaves, his heirs or assigned that the before recited land and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the right title or claim of all and every person or premises whatsoever.  In witness whereof the said Jacob Woodram hath hereinto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written.

 The wither deed of bargain and sale from Jacob Woodram to Absalom Gleaves for 128 acres of land was duly acknowledged in open court by the bargain and ordered to be registered.
