Twelve months after date for Value Rec'd w[ ] or either of us do promise to pay unto Andrew Porter guardian of Margret Emily Evelina and Polly Ewing the sum on ninety five Dollars Current money of Virginia for the payment of which we Bind ourselves our heirs & witness our hand and seal this 13th day of July 1839

Transcriber Notes

George Ewing, Jr. wrote his Will on February 21, 1837 and it was probated on April 9, 1838 with his son John Ewing and James Gleaves serving as executors.  On May 14, 1838, daughters of George Ewing “upwards of age 14”, Margaret, Emily and Evelina chose Andrew Porter for their guardian.  Andrew Porter was appointed by the court as guardian for Polly Ewing who was under age 14.
