Received of my Son James T. Gleaves Twenty Dollars my part of Peters hire for the year commencing this March 1828 & ending in March 1829. And I do not intend if the law even would allow to me the Said Peter hire to exact any more of James for the future but to let him have all the hire this 20th day of March 1829.
