James Turk Gleaves would serve as an executor on Nathaniel Nuckoll's will which was written on March 8, 1823 and probated on March 10, 1824. Garland was a son of Nathaniel's from his first marriage to a Miss Garland. In 1830, Garland would move to Missouri.
