Dear Father
As I have not received a letter from you since you left the College I will take this opportunity of letting you know how I am.  I have been well since you left me.  I am getting along with my studies very well.  I have no news of any importance but I believe that the Whigs are "going a head"  That is as far as I heard from I believe that Harrison will be elected if reports are true but I dont think they are true.  You must write to me as soon as you get this letter  And let me know wether I am coming back or not &e.  As it  [  ]  going home at the seperation of this Session you may exercise your own judgement about it  There are a good [  ]  students going home before the session is out  You may send for me so that I can get home before Christmas their will not be much done I dont think at that time.  I have no more news at present.  But remains
