Dear Mother,

As Ann is going to the Creek I thought I must wait until her return & she would let me know how you are now.
Yes I have some patients that I can't leave now. I have not heard from the Cove since I last saw you. Though I expect Aunt Margaret is much as common, else I must have heard. If Bob is going to West Point, he had better sign the letter & send it to the Department. I would not insist but it is the best thing he can possible do. Tell him I'll learn to write.
