With pleasure do I embrace this opportunity of addressing these few lines to you to let you know that I am well and hope that when these few lines come to hand they may find you in the same state of health. I must inform you that my old Room mate is roming with winton. I am rooming with Crocket; I must further inform you that I have committed a gross violation of the laws of my country and ly now at your disposal though I hope there will be no offence There was no sirveys to be had about the college Mr Collin's books has not yet arrived and it is uncertain when they may and I was getting behind with the class; So I took it on my self to commit so impoudent an act as to take a key and open your trunk and take your's. I will pay you for it as soon as I see you or pay all damages that the book may receive. I am with respect your most obedient Servant
