We the Assignors of this power of Attorney do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint Benjamin F. Gleaves our attorney in fact to Demand and receive for us of James T. Gleaves Executor of William Gleaves & Elizabeth Gleaves Deceased both late of the County of Wythe and the State of Virginia All money or moneys or property of any kind that may be acoming to either one or all of us from the estate of William Gleaves & Elizabeth Gleaves all necessary receipts, bonds and acquitances for us and in our names to Execute for and about the same we Do further empower our said Attorney to sue for and recover the same or any part there of whether the same be real or personal estate and for that purpose to make and employ one or more Attorneys under him and to do all other acts and things necessary to accomplish the objects of this power at our expense and charge, and we do hereby ratify and confirm all the lawful actings and doings of our said Attorney in the premises to fully as if we were present and doing the same ourselves given under our hands and Seals this 5th day of September 1843.
