Dear Father
As I have a good opportunity of informing you that the session will I expect end without an examination, for there will be but very few students, I want you if you please to send for us on Sunday that is start on (Sunday). For if there will be an examination We can get through on Monday. Wythe wanted to go by this waggon but Mr. Collins objected to it. And
since he wants to be stubborn keep us here for nothing I want to act a little contrary to. So by you sending for us he will let us go and if you do not he will keep us here as long as he can. As the Roads will (be) very muddy I expect you had rather come all the way. But for my part I could walk but Wythe could not. So you may start our horses on Saturday or Sunday so they can get here on the first of the week. By so doing you will favour me very much. And send some money if you please.
Fo(r) we will need some I expect
Yours very Respectfully
S. C. Gleaves

Be certain to send on Sunday at the fartherest for I want to leave E & Henry and come all the way
