Spring March 6th 1941.  After returning fromFla with Gladys Painting wood work white, clean walls, remove paper, filing cracks, sand papering and flues.             54.00

The above was my living & dining room.  Both halls,Alice’s living room.  Linoleum in kitchen.  Draperies for downstairs.  Bought my antique anchor or mud hooks coffee table.

Over Ber gave Hall wiring 7.75 and all presents on Page 1
Ber made cornices free
Tom painted all china for cupboards
Tom made draperies except my living room
Tom covered my chairs

Alice’s nicknames are “Jug” & Tom.

Oct 6th 1941 started building a house on corner lot.

Finished it Jan 26th 1942 and renters Alma & James Bumgarden moved in.  Brent Moore contractor and builders Chas. and Luther Heddrick brothers.
Chas. named for Papa.  There were 23 children in their family and Papa their physician.

Belisa built a shop on one ofAlice’s lots in

Apr. 20th 1942 Aunt Marie Gleaves sent to Alice the portrait of Dr. S. C. Gleaves painted by Aunt Marie years ago.
