And for Succor they refuse,

 

From the bad Samaritans,

 

Who upset their holy plans;

 

When upon the Jews they spy,

 

And to Smerdis, they apply!

Those misrepresented Jews.

From their mothers, children learn,

 

And from God to idols turn!

That the prophets deeply feel!

 

And that Malachi expresses,

 

Whom those sinners sin distresses!

And the prophets all proclaim,

 

“Jesus sinners to reclaim!”

 

And the Testament he closes.

 

On referring them to Moses!
