Evelina Porter Gleaves Cohen, 101, a volunteer with the Navy Relief Society who was director of the Washington area Girl Scout Council in the 1920s, died Dec. 27 at a retirement home in Stevensville, Mont. She had influenza.

Mrs. Cohen, a native of Washington, lived in the area off and on until 1992, when she moved to Montana from Carl Vinson Hall in McLean. She was a member of the Colonial Dames of America, Daughters of the American Revolution, Society of Sponsors of the U.S. Navy and St. John's Episcopal Church in McLean.

Her husband, retired Navy Cmdr. Albert Morris Cohen, died in 1959, and their daughter, Clotilda Cohen MacDonald, died Dec. 11.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Albert Gleaves Cohen of Pasadena, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Edition: FINAL
