Brent was born in Medford Oregon. He was the most devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He surfed in San Diego, played blues guitar and rode Harley Davidsons all of his life. His latest passion was dirt bikes and you could always find him on the track on Sundays.
He met the 'Love of his Life', his wife Karlyn Bates Gleaves five years ago, together they raised their loving faithful dog Donner. His family was right by his side during his short illness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karlyn Gleaves; his dearly loved children, Becky J Gleaves and Evan Gleaves; other survivors include his mother, Carolee Gleaves; his brother, sister-in-law and nephew, Gary Arleta and Jason Gleaves; and his sister, Diane Gleaves .
He will be reunited with his father, Dean Gleaves and his nephew, Brian Gleaves in heaven.
Brent will be remembered for the caring, dedicated, devoted and hard working man that he was.
We will love and miss you, until we meet again. Godspeed! "Ride till the wheels fall off."

Age 50, of Auburn, CA. passed away at home, surrounded by family, Sunday, March 13, 2011 after a short, courageous, battle with cancer. Born in Medford, OR, to parents Dean F. and Carolee Ettel Gleaves, Brent spent half his life in Roseburg and Sutherlin. During his life time, Brent enjoyed surfing, camping, fishing, guitar playing, Harleys', and his latest passion, dirt bikes. "Ride till the wheels fall off!" became his motto. Brent leaves behind the 'love of his life' Karlyn Bates Gleaves and his faithful, loving dog, Donner. He is survived by his dearly loved children, Becky J. Gleaves and Evan Gleaves. Other survivors include his mother, Carolee; brother, Gary; sister-in-law Arleta and nephew Jason; and sister, Diane Gleaves. Brent was predeceased by his father, Dean, nephew, Brian, grandparents, Frank and Elsie Fahrenkrug Gleaves and Ralph and Mynette Lenhart Ettel. Brent will be remembered for the caring, hard working, dedicated man he became in life. We love you and will miss you forever. Godspeed!
