Dear uncle
         I have just received your letter of the 12th inst in which you inclosed to me the half of a fifty dollar bill. The half of a twenty dollar bill note. The half of a five dollar note & the half of a two dollar note. You will please to inclose the other portion at the receipt of this letter. I expect to see the old man in a fiew days. I will say to him what you requested that I should say to him in regard to your not having made a charge for your trouble. I was pleased to hear that you were all enjoy(ing) tolerable health but I am sorry that it is out of my power to say the same to you. Jane is still on the mend. She can sit up and walk about the room a portion of her time. I have great fears of her lungs being affected. They are all well at Mr Crocketts, cosin Nathan Allen is at my house at this time. He says the balance of the relation in Ky are all well. I will write to more length in my next. My love to you all.
