Thomas Benjamin Gleaves, known as Blunt, was born in 1836 in Dyer County, Tennessess and died in 1911 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.  He was the son of William B. Gleaves, grandson of Thomas Harvey Gleaves and great-grandson of William Benjamin Gleaves and Elizabeth Turk.

He married Lucinda Wright about 1860 in Dyer County, Tennesse.  After Lucinda's death, he married Nancy Ann Burnham in 1866 in Dyer County, Tennessee.
