Directions:

  • From Nashville go east on I-40 to exit 226 in Mt. Juliet, TN.
  • Turn right (south) onto Mt. Juliet Road and go to first stop light at Adams Lane and turn left  (across from the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.)
  • Continue onto Belinda Parkway for 3.3 miles
  • Turn right onto South Rutland Road for 0.2 miles
  • Take the first left onto Del Webb Blvd and go 0.2 miles. (Note: from this point on, you will be on restricted usage roads)
  • Turn left onto Grey Place and go 0.2 miles
  • Turn left onto Bugler Road and the cemetery will be on the left.

  • Bartons purchased this property from the Bairds, thus the name.
  • An iron picket fence surrounds the Barton graves. 
  • The Bairds and Gleaves graves are in the open field. 
  • Trees have grown up among the graves and livestock has trampled about, turning over the stones and generally doing much damage.
  • This property may have been sold for a subdivision.
  • Julie Gleaves sent a wagon to Fredericksburg, Va. to return her son’s body home after he was killed in the Civil War battle.
