HAMMANN, Roy Ellen died February 17, 2014

Hammann, Roy Ellen, age 83, of Louisville, KY, and formerly of Nashville, TN, died February 17, 2014. Mrs. Hammann was a 1948 graduate of East High School. She graduated from Memphis Baptist School of Nursing in 1951 and Memphis State College in 1960. A RN, she retired from St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in 1995. Mrs. Hammann was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Louis Fuqua and her grandparents, T. LaRoy and Susie Ellen Carver Fuqua. She was also preceded in death by her dear husband, Earl William Hammann.

She is survived by cousins, Richard Kelly and Ruby Gleaves, Owen and Linda Gleaves, Sue Ella Buttrey, all of Mt. Juliet, TN and Frances Nichols of Lebanon, TN and many other cousins who live in Aldie, Purcellville and Charlottesville, VA and Dayton and Petersburg, TN.

She is also survived by very dear friends, Louise Courtney and Lee Yarwood both of Olive Branch, MS and Ruthie Miller of Louisville, KY.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the P.M. Carver-Fuqua-Gleaves Cemetery on Guill Road in Mt. Juliet, TN.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Kelly Gleaves, Jr., David Jason Gleaves, Jesse Paul Gleaves, Danny Mason Gleaves, Justin Buttrey and Josh Buttrey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Danny Gleaves Memorial Fund at Mt. Juliet High School (ATTN: FFA Sponsor) or Baptist Tabernacle, 2854 Market Street, Louisville, KY 40212.
