Virginia Fay "Ginnie" Gleaves of Eugene died March 10 of injuries sustained in a fall at home. She was 85. No service is planned.She was born Feb. 16, 1926, in Central Point to Virgil and Clara Mason Hawley. She married Vern Gleaves on Aug. 30, 1945, in Medford.She graduated from Medford High School in 1943 and attended classes at the University of Oregon and Lane Community College. She worked for U.S. Bank for 11 years in Medford, Salem and Eugene.Survivors include her husband; a son, Curt of Beaver­ton and Estes Park, Colo.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Nanette Gleaves Forney, died previously.Arrangements by Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene. Remembrances to Volunteers in Medicine or the Greenhill Humane Society.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 1998, in Molalla Funeral Chapel for Virginia Mae Gleaves, who died Feb. 27 at age 66.Mrs. Gleaves was born March 16, 1931, in Centralia, Wash. Her maiden name was Lebrum. She was a homemaker and worked for Opera House Laundry until her retirement in 1982. In 1974, she married Leland, who died in 1991.Survivors include her sons, Richard Weich of Molalla and Randy Weich of Vancouver, Wash.; daughters, Deborah Weich of Beaverton and Virginia White od Portland; brothers, Dan Lebrum and Frank Lebrum, both of Sandy, Phil Lebrum of Portland, and Robert Lebrum of New Hampshire; and six grandchildren.Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
