For value rec’d I promise to pay or cause to be paid to William Hay or his heirs or assigns on or before the fifteenth day of June next ensuing date hereof the sum of Seventy five Dollars in specie on Bank Notes of the United States or State of Virginia for the true payment whereof I hereby bind my self my heirs --  Execs & admit  Witness my hand and Seal this 27th of March 1822
