Dear Sir
I beg favor of you to examine the register's office and ascertain whether the courses distance and corners of a survey of 1110 acres made in the name of Henry Davis about the year 1798 agrees with the following which I give
Beginning at three white oaks corner to William Calfee's land on a ridge Ease 54 poles to two white oad saplings N74o E 30 poles to two pines on a steep hill side S45o E 26 poles to a spanish oak and lynn by a branch S70o W 120 poles to two white oak and black oak S10o E82 poles to a Hickory and white oak S15 E 240 poles to between a black oak and white oak on a ridge S50 E170 poles to a small pine on a ridge S85 E19 poles to a pine and white oak South 162 poles to two white oak corner to his patent land and with lines thereof S85 E60 poles to two black oaks North 220 poles to a white oak and dogwood N7 W44 poles to two white oaks N38 E92 poles to a white oak N15 E65 poles to a poplar & Hickory on the bank of the creek N22 E60 poles to a large white oak N34 E12 poles to a walnut N15 W35 poles to an ash on the bank of of the creek N65 W80 poles crossing the creek twice to a double white oak & black oak N40 E114 poles to a large white oak

N70 E20 poles to a large black oak North 92 poles to two black oak N28 W115 poles to two white oaks N60 W155 poles to a white oak & black oak saplings thence leaving said lines and with lines of William Calfee’s land S41 W170 to the beginnins –

I want you if you please to examine the record carefully and see whether the courses distance &C given there agrees with the above if so you will please let me know that fact by letter  If the above courses &C do not agree with the records you will please send me the course distance &C as you find them there  I merely want the courses distance & corners of the survey given  I do not wish an attested copy –

I have this day compaired the courrer herein mentioned with the courrer of the Pattent & find them to agree without the mere slight variance
