I thank God that I am permited onst more to lift my pen to let you no how I am[.] I paid sister Allen a visit the first of this mounth in good health[.] I took a bad cold[.] I have not got any better of it yet[. M]y eyes are very weak[.] I do not expect to rite much at this time[.] I wish to let you no that I sent a power of attorney to receive what funds to me from father's and mother's estate, but Dr. Field's business was such that he did not come by your house[. H]e has returned the power to me[.] It cost me two dollars[.] I wish to no if it will still answer the purpose to send it by another man[.] I also wish you to let me no the answer of what fauls to me in your next letter[.] I will enclose the letter that I sent by the doctor in this[.] I herd some complaints with few? That you would not do justice[.] I answered that I had not a doubt that I had ever confidence

in you that you would do justice[. T]he answer was what so many farms and much of every thing else that we have never got well said[. I]f I am a widow and have fatherless children and I do not belieave that my brother will wrong me out of one cent desinedly or anny of the rest of the ceves and so we droped the subject because we all no from scripture that we have to give an account for the deeds done in the body before the judgment seat of Christ[.] I do no my ernest desire is to do that which is rite in the sight of God and man while traveling through this worn world of sorrow and tears[.] O my dear brother it is my ernest praer to allmity God that we may all build on the sure foundation and be fit meat of the Master's use in the coming day[. M]ay God with his infinite mercy be with us all
