I take the Liberty to wright to you we are well and I hope that you are enjoying the same blessing
Harry has Runaway he left on the 3 of this instant I think he is trying to get Back to virginia and will thank you if he gets Back there to let me know as soon as you find out that he is there I have learned from sum negroes that he wanted to get back there and get you to By him and know you can understand how to Cetch the damed scroundel If Calvin M. Rutherford is there Please let him know it and if he is going to return to orleans he shall have him if he wants him I had to whip him this summer and anoother Cause for his running away from me all I crave is to get holt of him again

James Turk Gleaves had legal dealings with several members of the Rutherford family over a period of more than 30 years. In at least one instance he handled an estate for the family.

No document have yet been found that mentions Harry or if he actually came back to Virginia.
