On Navigation

The importance which arises from the subject (in) which I have stated is worth the attention of any person. The natural advantages, which we have (to overcome) by the aid of navigation (is/are) useful to the old and young. When we cast our eyes around us we soon behold the importance which arises from my (question/subject) (in) which I have stated above. You may behold if you please every day that rolls over our head things that are transported from foreign countries (abroad/across) the pathless Ocean. Let your imagination run if you please to the city of New York or Philadelphia and stand upon the beach of the Ocean and you will see the art of navigation. You will see the ships from every direction and from the four corners of the globe standing as it seems in one mighty spot. And what do they bring to us which is useful to mankind they bring tea, sugar, and several other things, which is too tedious to mention. And how could we have a free communication with other nations without (having a free access to) navigation.
