March 29th 1876
Capt Robt H. Gleaves:
Dear Sir & Friend
We send Willie over to day for the rest of our plunder, which we fear has been in your way. Would send you the crib but remember your telling me you had one. You spoke of letting us have some hens, whatever number you can spare. Please let Willie have them, and I will settle with you for them. Mary does not wish to sell her wash stand, but wishes Mrs. Gleaves to accept the cream freezer as a present from her. Do not forget what I asked you about Nannie & Charly. Come and see us, when you come over. Received a letter from Thos. Carter yesterday, he was well and better pleased. I think I will succeed in getting Capt. Blair's farm, will know tomorrow. Mary joins me in kind regards to yourself and Mrs. Gleaves.
Your friend
Rob. B. Helson
