Robert Lee Gleaves was the third child of Julia Benbow and Robert Harvey Gleaves.  He was born 3 May 1882 in Cripple Creek, Wythe County, Virginia and died Oct 1958 at the age of 76 years old.  He is buried in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife, Mabel McComb Gleaves.

Rob was a civil engineer.
