Dear Samuel
I just now read yours of the 12th inst. You say you are well, we are all well your mother is much benefited by the springs nothing new, I will send you some money when a convenient opportunity offers
We had a very hard frost last week
You say your antagonist arrived just before you wrote I do not know who he is, but let me advise you to have no wrangling with any Boy at school you are young & perhaps inconsiderate, & you must avoid envy look over trifling insults such as you may expect from boys
Earheart is now about to be hurt hard for Moore in the burning business, & Moore has now prosecuted him for burning his property & Earheart is on trial before a magistrate for it. I would write at a greater length but for want of time.
You stand fair at school & don't do any thing that will injure your reputation, let me know your antagonist & the cause of offense & I will advise you on the subject.
