P.S.
You have perhaps heard of the very sudden and dangerous attac Samuel Crockett has had I met his Brother Robert this morning he say he is worse this morning than for several days no news worth your attention,
Give my respects to the Register Mr. William Selden
C Adams
The Crockett brothers mentions are likely Samuel Rush Crockett (1810-1879) and Robert Graham Crockett (1806-1865). They are the sons of John Crockett Jr. (1774-1835) and Nancy Agnes Graham (1783-1853). Samuel and Robert would be first cousins to James' wife, Malvina Crockett Gleaves as her father Samuel and John Jr. were brothers.
Boiling Springs is a section in Wythe County.
