Dear Sister
Agreeable to promice I take this opportunity of informing you that I am well at present and also my Dear little Chaley I have seen Elizabeth severl times her health is very bad and she has the soreest eyes I ever seen and the greatest picture of distress I ever seen her mother seemed very fri[en]dly I have not spoken to any of the family except Elizabeth and her mother I had a conversation with Elizabeth last Sundy upon the subject and she told me she would go with me she requested to stay a little while I think she wants to see if old Jo won't come to a little So this will make it a little uncertain when I will riturn but I do not intend to stay a day longer than posable I have spent the most of my time at Mr McGavock's I believe I have nothing more I herd from Thomas Gleaves on my way he is well also his family I was seven days on the road I had the company of Jams Sanders and Miss Bradly all the way to Nashville we met with but one accident the stage turned
